The Lost Domain

Yes, I have another exhibition opening on the 5th December, and this one is at Jealous on Curtain Road in East London, opposite what must surely be the most lavishly painted multi-storey carpark in the entire city.

The exhibition consists of twelve pictures that I’ve made, and I’ve tried to make these pictures quite nice. I’m aware that in the past I have made pictures that some people find a bit depressing; especially those ones of huge shopping precincts, carparks, business parks and housing estates. And also those ones of desolation, with the holes, the stakes, the arid landscapes and the long shadows. It certainly didn’t help that I made those in monochrome, all black and grey.

But the pictures in The Lost Domain are much more cheerful! Happy happy happy, joy joy joy. So yes, it is a new side to me, an optimistic, ebullient aspect. Well, more or less. There aren’t any kittens, although there is one cat.

The show will open in the evening of Thursday 5th December, and there isn’t a guest list or anything like that, so if you happen to be in the area and at a loose end do come along.
